March Newsletter

Dear Friends,

It's been magical to walk about the Glastonbury Abbey and watch the snowdrops, crocuses and daffodils dawn the beginning of Spring. It's still chilly here in the UK, but you can feel the light lasting longer, and it feels like Spring and Summer are just around the corner.

If you haven't already seen, some visuals recorded in Ireland featuring dancer Amy Shakerley have just been released on my  YouTube channel for the song I am That I Am. (Released on my album GINHAWA in 2022). You can check out the video here.

Thank you to all who joined me for the first live session of Sound & Silence at the Red Brick Building in Glastonbury! We had a beautiful group of people and it felt especially significant to gather around the Hiroshima peace flame in these times of conflict and destruction.

Upcoming dates at the Red Brick building are scheduled for Thursday 11th April and Thursday 16th May, from 19:00- 20:00. This time booking in advance will be essential to reserve a place, to know the numbers for cacao, and as spaces are limited. (We were lucky to be at full capacity for the last session!) Keep an eye on the events page on my website as those dates go live in the coming days.

I am excited to share that on May 18th I will be collaborating on a day retreat Journey Into The Heart with one of my dearest friends, Imogen. We are looking forward to combining our work with light and sound to go deeply into the space of the heart, right here in what is believed to be the Heart Chakra of the Earth! If you've been thinking of visiting Glastonbury, maybe this might be a nice excuse? :) Do let me know if you would like recommendations for accommodation too if you are thinking of visiting from out of town.

Lastly, at the end of this month over the Easter weekend I will be offering some music for a Sufi retreat in Germany. If you would like to find out more information, just reply to this message and I will send over more details.

Thank you for your support as always!

With love,

Ruhiya
